del.icio.us

Would I actually use del.icio.us? I can see it being used in a research setting where information sharing is critical, especially when collaborating on projects. I'm not so sure how useful it would be on a personal level. I found it amazing to see how many synonyms can be created to define a single topic!! I'm planning to try it for a few weeks to see how it can fit into my current projects.

Interesting article in the Technology section of today's WSJ - "How well do you know web 2.0?" I haven't had a chance to answer the questions yet, but I'll bet I have a lot to learn! I did register on Twitter today... I'm not sure how it differs from texting.

New to Blogging

This is my first experience blogging so I'm trying to get into it!!! I have read many blogs and find the one in the New York Times particularly interesting! There are several options on the NYT site. Lately, there are have been a number of posts regarding the "Octo-mom" - the Los Angeles area woman who gave birth to 8 babies and has 6 more at home. What is she thinking??? (I guess she wasn't!) Anyway, there are a number of ethical issues involved that I won't go into here! I'm happy to be able to add blogging to my learning toolbox and have the opportunity to practice this new skill.
